Twenty-five teen girls will be reached as a result of the January 11, 2012 event. The event empowered women through an energetic keynote speech by Dr. Trevicia, organizing strategies by professional organizer, Leticia Pfeiffer and ways to get healthy with Kellie Calabrese while providing women the knowledge, skills, tools, inspiration and motivation to make local communities more resilient through efforts to reduce teen pregnancies. While stressing prevention, Dr. Trevicia talked about the difficulties that teen mothers face and how much those challenges are compounded with repeat pregnancies.
