Small Boutiques vs. Fortune 500 Companies

by Jennifer Aitken

As an entrepreneur, you have the ambition and mind set to create an empire that can earn billions of dollars a year. This is a great dream, but one many people find to be hollow and more stress than contentment. There are literally millions of people throughout the USA today who are struggling and working 7 days a week to try and create their empire from scratch, it is only the successful ones who can tell you that going small is the better and more successful way in the end.

Although Bill Gates and many of the other Fortune 500 company owners have greatly changed the world and their families for years to come, this does not mean that they live a carefree life. Building a company such as Microsoft and all its corresponding affiliate companies meant sacrificing a lot of life’s joys in order to make it work. Of course as an entrepreneur you already know that business is one of your life’s joys, but what you may not know is that there is a limit to success when it goes from being a goal to a full blown disease.

Many business men and women have taken their businesses to the top and achieved the success they have been looking for but find that they cannot stop their motivation for more and more success. This type of “success bug” can really inhibit your good judgment and perhaps even cause you to miss the opportunity to slow down when it comes your way. There is no real definition for success except when you feel you are happy and as en entrepreneur that definition can be anything but for many today it is when you have created something that works and you can enjoy life and the benefits you have made for yourself.

Creating and owning a small boutique, whether you are selling women’s fashions or books, etc, can be a very rewarding field for entrepreneurship and should not be overlooked. All it takes is one well running boutique and you can create a few more to earn the name of a chain boutique if you so choose and then watch your profits and your work run smoothly so you can go out and enjoy life without the stress of keeping up with the Fortune 500 companies.

As an entrepreneur you want to enjoy the art of business and learn new ways to make your current business more successful, this can be done with a small boutique or a large corporation but more enjoyment and happiness can be found by focussing on the small instead of the large. Consider a boutique for your business venture and reap the benefits! M
